I only get afended when vvankers burn the british flag or any of the flags of the union ie scotland irland england or even wales or when i c them tied round stuft n there ripd up. Dont like seeing them as door mats or under garment bt tol it * +

I think I'm the only one who finds it inappropriate lol again, I'm not a blind flag worshipper. Patriotism for me is all about respecting the people and the environment we live in.
Most Indians refer to India as ''Bharat Maa'' (maa means mother) so having seeing a picture of something they love or feel strongly for printed on a doormat has outraged them.
I feel printing the flag (be it India or any other country) on shoes/doormats is kinda degrading and disrespectful. A flag is a very powerful symbol. It's a representation of our struggles to become a free and independent country. It's distinctive that gives people a sense of identity. Just my opinion, though. However, that doesn't mean I'm blinded by patriotism. I believe that India can be a truly great place, and I'm the first to know she can be better. We have a looooooong way to go. * +

im not especially patriotic but it seems obvious that wiping your feet on someone's flag could offend.im sure i heard that countries have got dragged into wars over this stuff.im going to try find out *
