Ever since I was a kid, I've loved Christmas. When I was in play school, one of our teachers would dress up as Santa. We sat on his lap, and he gave us sweets. I used to sleep with a red cap/sock under my pillow cause Santa would leave a gift in that. When I was in junior school, I questioned my mom if Santa really was real. I had doubts about it as others kids were saying he's not real. I kept on nagging her to tell me the truth, and she admitted he's not real. I cried and cried and cried

Christmas brings back those memories, and makes me wish I was a child again. There is always such magic in the air. This year however, Christmas completely crept up on me. I didn't have the time (or the energy) to make extravagant Christmas plans. I didn't have money to do my annual Christmas shopping, and neither did I feel particularly ''festive'' as it got closer and closer to D-day.

Let me be frank. This year has been particularly hard for me. I've had to deal with the fallout of years of untreated emotional baggage. I've had to confront some really difficult issues surrounding so many aspects of my life. I was fully convinced that I would not live to see the end of this year, but here I am. I've come this far, and I am SO thankful for it. That's my Christmas Miracle.
