Pennier's kinda right, but going about the solution the wrong way. Emmentalm is a bit extreme the other way, though.

I find the best way to deal with this world, full of inferiority and stupidity, is to be very selective in who I bother with - as then it's far easier to justify affording those few people the patience required for me to live in stress-free peace.
It can be difficult to prevent making too many friends, trying to be polite when people obviously want to introduce me around, but pretending to be busy all the time is the best way around it.

So I can spend most of my time on my own, and make my few friends feel special when I do afford them some time with me.
