Not just people, but things.. Ugh my phone is dying. I was reading something the other day that was about how we perceive reality. Is perceiving the truth about things a good survival strategy? Or do we blinker ourselves from the ultimate truth so that it doesn't overwhelm us? Perceptual filters and all that. * +

So imagine.. You see a snake. Your brain identifies it as such and that's it, threat identified. Ultimate realization would have you recalling everything about snakes you had ever read, not a great survival strategy as you could be sitting there for quite some time mulling over your snake facts. * +
