To you it is just a tear falling from my eye
One of many pearl shaped water beads
Made out of enzymes, lipids and electrolytes
For me it is a diamond
Bearing my grief
One of many
Containing all the love and pain
stored in my heart * +

You frequently pray
Making wishes on a shooting star
But it doesn't matter
how many tears you shed
Nothing will bring them back
from the other side
There will never be another chance
To say words unspoken
No more opportunities
to create more memories
Grief is the most painful kind of
unreciprocated love
you will ever experience
in this journey called life * +

The fire in your eyes
The deepness of your voice
I used to believe
that this kind of love
only existed in books and movies
Yet here I am living it
Do I deserve it?
Like poetry on my skin
A soul finding its twin
