Genesis: 'Carpet Crawlers' (Trevor Horn 1999 mix) @anduan (I bet you've got this tucked away somewhere) or @emski - if the whole album was mixed like this, would you be WELL up for it? I certainly would, for a good LISTEN, but I think the inherent darkness of the original would probably be lost. * +

It's extraordinarily 'clean' if you know what I mean - the vocals are as prominent as they should be, but surrounded by so much accurate and engrossing sound from the original takes - it's startling AND intimate (which is an achievement in itself). I'd love to hear Apocalypse in 9/8 from Supper's Ready given the same treatment. * +
