The picture quality gets reduced each time they squeeze in another channel. Meanwhile, as audiences are split between more channels and advertising revenue reduces due to the internet and the recession, programme quality reduces. Channels are also selling off their nighttime hours to dial-a-tart channels. * +

The BBC had to remove 302, because the government decided that HD would have to be fitted in to the existing freeview space, so that in the future some of the current tv frequencies can be sold off, most likely to mobile networks. It is a shame that there is so much other rubbish on freeview now, and its the BBC are who are losing space. Its worth noting that if ITV digital hadn't failed we would've never had 301 and 302. * +
