Nextel adds another hybrid with Motorola ic402

The new clamshell packs in the best of iDEN and CDMA, featuring push-to-talk, a speakerphone and GPS.
Just weeks after the launch of its first hybrid iDEN/CDMA phone (the Motorola ic502), Sprint Nextel unveils its sibling, the ic402. The newcomer is slightly pared-down and more delicate version of its older brother, as the ic402 does not adhere to the 810F military spec, which ensures that handsets are resistant to dust, drops and extreme weather conditions. However, the new clamshell does boast a more sleek look in silver than that of the basic black ic502. The ic402 does offer similar specs to the ic502 (for about USD20 less), including push-to-talk, Direct Talk, Direct Send, a speakerphone and GPS.
