While other manufacturers have been racing to produce the slimmest handsets around, Nokia has not paid much attention to the growing market up until now. The company's new 6300 could change that however, as the stylish new handset with a stainless steel frame measures in at only 13.1mm thick.
The thin Nokia 6300 does not lose out much in the way of features though, boasting a 2.0 megapixel camera and 16 million color, QVGA (240x320 pixel) resolution TFT LCD display. The tri-band handset also sports Bluetooth for short-range connectivity. Media can be stored on microSD memory cards, and the Nokia 6300 is compatible with cards up to 2GB in size.
Carrying an estimated retail price of 325 Euro (approximately USD420), Nokia announced from the Capitol Market Days event in Amsterdam that the 6300 will be available during Q1 2007.
