Nokia 6086

The second phone announced today at the Capital Market Days in Amsterdam was the Nokia 6086, the company's latest multimode UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) handset. UMA provides access to GSM and GPRS mobile services over technologies like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The Nokia 6086 comes equipped with a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom, camcorder and video player, 6MB of memory and a microSD card slot and Bluetooth. Orange will be one of the first mobile phone carriers to offer the Nokia 6086 and will be added to Orange's Unik (UMA) offer which was announced in September.

Like the 6300, the Nokia 6086 will alo begin shipping during the first quarter of 2007. The 6086 will be sold for an estimated retail price of 200 euros before subsidies or taxes.
