Palm and Verizon Announce the Treo 700wx on Verizon Wireless

Good news, Verizon customers, the Treo 700wx is now yours. With more memory than the Treo 700w originally released on Verizon, the 700wx is just what the doctor ordered. Sprint users have enjoyed the 700wx for some time, so they know what we're talking about. The Treo 700wx runs Windows Mobile 5 with support for MS Direct Push email and of course it has EVDO for high speed data. The price is USD399 after a USD100 rebate and it's available now at Verizon stores, online and via business sales channels.

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. and SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 20, 2007 -- Verizon Wireless and Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) today announced the availability of the Palm Treo(TM) 700wx smartphone running Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5.0 with Direct Push Technology, adding another choice to Palm's current EV-DO product offerings for Verizon Wireless customers.

The Treo 700wx smartphone combines broadbandlike speeds on Verizon Wireless' high-speed network with wireless email(1) and rich media capabilities all in one ' bringing Palm's world-class ease of use to the Windows Mobile platform. The Treo 700wx has a full QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a bright 240x240 touch screen and support for Bluetooth stereo headsets.(2) The built-in 64MB of RAM allows the use of a more robust set of applications, while storage can be enhanced by using the SD slot to add memory cards of up to 2GB(2), which are great for storing data, photos, music and video.
