God's nature the basis of atonement...the God who is life in Himself is the only One who can restore life to us. We are love by Him,not because we earned love but because He is love in Himself and continues to love us, in spite of our sin. He also wants to re-create us,and He is able because He is the Creator. As a Holy God who cannot tolerate sin in His presence,He is able to santify us through Christ. His all-encompassing knowledge reveals that sin was not an unexpected phenomenon but something that He foresaw and was prepared to deal with..... *
